With the release of Nek Skantlet on Pole's Scape Records, Kit Clayton and the rest of the California minimal techno gurus reached a peak in their recognition for audio accomplishments. Taking a helping hand from Clayton's rise was German-born Stephan Mathieu, one of the first artists on the Orthlorng Musork label. Mathieu's style keeps in the minimalistic, pops and clicks associated with artists like Clayton and Pole.
