Spread Eagle was formed in New York City by vocalist Ray West, guitarist Paul DiBartolo, bassist Rob DeLuca, and drummer Tommi Gallo. The band's songs observed the hard rock conventions of, say, Guns N' Roses (including the exploitation of subjects culled from seedy urban decay), but carried a lethal metallic edge to boot.
