When a mutual friend introduced Germans Frank Spinath and Martin Vorbroot to each other, they both felt their personalities were too different to form a successful band. Soon, however, the contradictions started working in their favor, and the diverse electro-industrial sound of Seabound was born. One of their demos caught the attention of Dependent Records and the label released their debut, No Sleep Demon, in 2001.
