Formed in Copenhagen early in the '90s, Koxbox made some of the first moves toward the psychedelic trance sound that became a standard later in the decade. The duo was formed by Frank E (aka Frank Madsen) and Peter Candy, who first met back in 1980 while playing in rock bands around Copenhagen. They became friends, and presented their own show on Danish radio, moving into techno by the end of the '80s.
