After her debut in a TV Tupi show, she was invited to sing in nightclubs in Rio. Her first LP, Nascente, was recorded in 1979. Since then, she has recorded almost one album each year. "Nos Bailes da Vida" (Milton Nascimento/Fernando Brant), included in Chama (1981), was written especially for her. Her composition "Decisão" was the theme of the soap opera Brilhante and "Momentos" was that of Coração Alado.
