German rapper Dendemann was acclaimed for his idiosyncratic flow and wry, slice-of-life rhymes. Born Daniel Ebel in Menden -- aliases also included Daniel LaRusso, Olaf Mitender, and Volker Racho -- he first surfaced in collaboration with fellow rapper Majubiese and producer Carsten "Boogie" Schulz in the group Arme Ritter, which issued the Sony Music label hit "Disco '95 (Singt und Schwingt das Bein)."
