Rita Redshoes is an acclaimed Portuguese alternative pop singer/songwriter who made her Top Ten hit solo album debut in 2008 with Golden Era. Born Rita Pereira and hailing from Loures, Portugal, she began her musical career in the late '90s as the singer of the band Atomic Bees. The band released an album, Love Noises and Kisses (2000), and opened for the Cranberries in Lisbon before dissolving.
