Vocalist Dave Derrick, guitarists Kyle Ellison and Jared Tuten, bassist Sims Ellison and drummer Shandon Sahm (the son of Tex-Mex legend Doug Sahm, incidentally) met in high school in San Antonio and began playing together with various lineups.
