Named after her passionate and exuberant personality, Scarlette Fever is the pseudonym of acoustic pop singer/songwriter Karen Barrow. Born in Hertfordshire, England in 1982, she grew up listening to her mother's records by Matt Monro and the Carpenters (whose lead singer she was named after), and after passing her A-levels, she put her ambitions of becoming a marine biologist on hold in order to carve out a career in the music industry.
