Santiago Durango was the guitarist and -- with Steve Albini -- one of the two consistent members of Big Black. Except for the 1982 Lungs EP (which was an Albini solo project), Durango remained with the band until commercial pressures and an urge to go to law school forced him to quit in 1987, just before recording began for Songs About Fucking.
