Amandine Bourgeois is a French pop singer/songwriter who rose to fame in 2008 on the television talent show Nouvelle Star. Born on June 12, 1979, in Angoulême, France, she was the first-place winner of the sixth season of Nouvelle Star, a French-language adaptation of Pop Idol. On June 11, 2008, during the final episode of the season, she sang the songs "Hey You" by Pink Floyd, "En Apesanteur" by Calogero, and "Somebody to Love" by Queen in competition against second-place runner-up Benjamin Siksou.
